Brigitte Beanie
The name of this fun hat comes from a few different inspirations. I was working with the honeycomb stitch and thinking of bees, but have named a few different patterns “bees knees” or “honey dipped” so I wanted something different here. Then I started playing off of the letter B and it’s Oktoberfest so I’ve been on a German kick…and that lead me to Brigitte. I don’t know why but I’ve stayed away from naming patterns after people, but now that I’ve started it’s quite fun!
And this hat is just so much fun - fun to knit, fun to wear, fun to draft. The honeycomb cable is quite easy to knit, it just requires a bit of concentration. I’ve drafted this pattern here with written instructions rather than charts - because cables in charts, ugh I get the shakes just thinking about it.
