Brimham Rocks Flip Top Mitts
Brimham Rocks Flip Top Mitts are a DK mitt knit on smaller needles to give a dense, windproof fabric yet gives the wearer quick access to there smartphone, camera, keys, to clip on the dog lead……. or whatever! They are pretty quick to knit, using two different rib patterns and the construction of the flip top has been made as simple as possible - no picking up or double knitting of stitches here! The mitts ‘flip’ inwards towards the palm & it would be simple to add a loop & button if required. The mitts are knitted from the cuff. The length of the different sections of the mitt can be adjusted to suit the recipient and the rib construction ensures that the width should fit all adult hands.
Brimham Rocks Flip top mitts are part of a series of my patterns called ‘Around Britain on your hands & feet’.
I managed to knit a ladies size pair of mitts with two balls of Drops Karisma knitted exactly to the pattern but I had only a meter left!!!!!!! Your call!!!!
