Brimmish Light
Six brim stitch patterns!
Slouchy? Beanie?
Newborn? Adult?
Adapted from my worsted weight Brimmish, it’s a fingering-weight hat to fit all occasions! With all the options, you could knit 120 different hats from this mega pattern. (And that doesn’t include the difference between 1- and 2-colour options!)
See yardage table in pattern photos.
The coordinating worsted-weight mittens are here: Cuffish.

The written and charted directions are on separate pages along with the abbreviations so you only have to print what you need.
Please note that I suggest that you drop 2 needle sizes from the size you used to get gauge rather than just one for the Sailor’s Rib pattern. It is a stitch pattern that likes to spread. Conversely, the Broad Spiral Rib will produce the tightest brim because of the stitches used. Depending on your preferences, you may wish to go up a needle size for this stitch pattern.
This pattern has been tech edited and test knit.
