Now available in English and in French, please donwload the new version of the PDF (correcting also some errors in chart D).
The design of this shawl came as a memory. It was the loving memory of afternoons gardening with granddad (who was also a lace knitter) that teach me to love nature, plants, and to try to understand its circle. More than a gardening lesson it was a teach of life, to understand that after the storm the sun will shine again, just like a renewed plant just after the last winter’s cold days, growing with hope to the morning sun.
With two different lace patterns, and four parts this shawl is knitted top-down, and it is a triangle made up of 2 triangles separated by the center stitch and increases 4 stitches every other row to the last edging rows. Lace patterns are written and charted. Easily customizable, you can decide the length of your shawl, as you can repeat to your taste chart B and C, before working chart D. the sample shown was made with 765 yards for a large shawl, suggestions for a shoulderette size are provided too.
This will be my little contribution to help Haiti, 50% of the sale price of this pattern, sold from February 1st through April 1st will go to Médecins Sans Frontières for their work in Haiti.
Have a wonderful day
