These socks are knitted from the cuff down, with stranded colourwork throughout, a reinforced heel and kitchener stitch to graft the toe - there is a tutorial for this step on my YouTube Channel if you need it.

The pattern is written for 3 sizes, small (UK 5-6), medium (UK 6-7) and large (UK 7-8), but is very easily customizable to fit your own foot. As you’re knitting from the cuff down, you can slip your work over your foot to check the fit of the leg, heel and foot as you go.

Suitable for confident beginners with some knitting knowledge (casting on, knitting in the round and joining in the round, stranded colour work, kitchener stitch - there is a video tutorial available for this step).

I’ve knitted these socks using Drops Nord 4ply sock wool in Fog for the main background colour, as well as West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4ply in Rum Paradise for the bunting flags, and Blue Raspberry, Butterscotch and Honeysuckle for the heel cuff and toe. You can either match up the colours for the heel, cuff and toes or knit them all different like I did.

You will need approximate 15g (60m) of each colour for the heel, cuff and toes, 20g (80m) for the bunting flags, and around 1 50g ball of the background colour.

Any 4 ply sock yarn will do, however, the gauge I’ve worked to is 30 stitches x 36 rows using 2.5mm double pointed needles - you can use a circular needle and the magic loop method if you prefer.
