Brioche Bralette
Meet the Brioche Bralette! This pattern is designed to be completely size adjustable and has no upper or lower measurement limits. Instead of relying on size grading based on average measurements, the pattern guides you through a series of calculations based on your unique gauge, measurements, and desired length to make a top that is completely customized to you. A sizing chart is also included as a guideline with average measurements and yardage estimates for women’s sizes XS-5XL.
The top is knit in the round using one- and two-color brioche patterns, and the straps are double-knitted in rows. Because this pattern uses only the simple brioche repeat and no increases or decreases, it makes a great intro to brioche pattern for those with no prior experience. Instructions are given in both written form and in a chart for the brioche repeats as well as the straps.
I designed the Brioche Bralette to be made on size US 8 (5 mm) needles using Category 4 light worsted weight yarn. However, the top can easily be adjusted for different size needles or yarn weight as long as you gauge swatch accurately to calculate for this change.
Materials (yardage given based on average for XS - 5XL):
170 (195, 220, 240, 265, 290, 310, 340, 360) yds/155 (180, 200, 220, 240, 265, 280, 310, 300) m MC light worsted weight yarn
45 (55, 60, 65, 70, 80, 85, 95, 100) yds/45 (50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 80, 85, 90) m CC light worsted weight yarn
Size US 8 (5 mm) circular needles
Darning needle

Tape measure (for calculations)
Skills required:

If you are unfamiliar with or struggling with brioche, I highly recommend this tutorial for one-color brioche in the round and this tutorial for two-color brioche in the round.
