Brioche Branches
Designing new stitch patterns in two-color brioche has become a passion for Nancy Marchant. The pretty little branches pattern in this scarf emerges from a combination of increases worked in light-side light-color rows and complementary decreases worked in corresponding dark-side dark-color rows. The result is a different pattern on the two sides of the rectangular scarf—one side is primarily light, the other is primarily dark. Nancy chose to work the scarf in two subtle colors that are close in value to give this design unisex appeal.
