Holding together a strand of Alegria for body and a strand of Cabrito for luxurious warmth makes the Bubble Brioche Cardigan the ultimate in cozy. A clever shift from brioche to classic k1, p1 rib forms both the bell shape of the sleeve and the bubble shape of the body.

Manos del Uruguay CABRITO (80% kid mohair, 20% polyamide; approx. 230 yds/25 g):
6 (6, 7, 8) (9, 10, 12, 13) sks.

US 7/4.5 mm 16” and 24” circular needles and double-pointed needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
US 2/2.75 mm double-pointed needles

GAUGE
14 sts and 44 rows/rnds = 4”/10 cm in Brioche Stitch using larger needles with one strand of each yarn held together (see Notes for counting rows in pattern), after blocking.

NOTES
The upper back is worked from the top down to the underarms. After completing the back, stitches for each front are picked up along the back shoulder line and worked separately down to the underarms. The back and front stitches are joined for working the lower body in rows down to the lower edge. Stitches for each sleeve are picked up around the armhole opening and worked in the round down to the cuffs.

This project is worked with one strand of each yarn held together throughout.
