This scarf is made using a brioche stitch combined with a brioche cable. The turtleneck section is also made using one of the many brioche stitches. Brioche stitches tend to have a fullness and dimensionality not found in other knitting stitches. The stitch itself causes the sides to scallop slightly. If you’re a good knitter, but are unfamiliar with the brioche family of stitches, you might enjoy this pattern.

This pattern is both charted and written out line by line. There are also instructions for a simple crocheted edging.

Skill Level: Intermediate - Intermediate + (assuming a good working knowledge of knitting, slipped stitches, yo’s and cabling).
