This pattern was my attempt at a “male” Brioche pattern as a present to my son.

This scarf worked in 2 pattern blocks - “circles” and “straights”. ; it tapers slightly for a wider, shaped edge and is reversible. I provided separate pattern instructions for each section so the pattern width can be extended, shortened or lengthened.

In my opinion the pattern is suitable for intermediate knitters with some experience in 2-colour Brioche, but I have included detailed instructions and I am happy to answer any of your questions. Stitches include Brioche left and right decreases and 2-stitch Brioche increases. You can also find me on my website www.julchenknits

It can be knitted in 2 variegated yarns like here or in combination with solid DK yarns. In my opinion yarns with “bounce” and some elasticity result in the deepest fabric.

I am looking forward to hearing from you and seeing your own beautiful creations.

Happy knitting! :)
