A simple cowl with rolled edges, knit in the round using a brioche stitch variant (“stockinette brioche”). Done in bulky yarn, it is cushy and quick! Use self-striping yarn or 2 contrasting colours to give bold vertical stripes. The “wrong side” of the cowl is also interesting.

3 size options are given:

  • neckwarmer / ski tube (~24” circumference)
  • cowl (~32” circumference)
  • a double loop cowl (~50” circumference)

Yarn requirements depend on the size and the yarn chosen. The grey cowl is a “medium” and took 200g of Charisma. The green/brown cowl is a “small” and took 100g of Charisma (alternating rows from each end of the ball).

Brioche is a loose stitch. To prevent excessive sagging, use a smaller needle than indicated on the ball band.
