Brioche Hat - Two Ways
One of the things I like to do every year is set a crafting goal to learn something new. whether it’s a new stitch or a new technique. So why not start out the year with both… Brioche! I love the rhythm of brioche, it’s a very meditative technique that I know you will enjoy.
Our Brioche Hat - Two Ways is a great introduction to single-color brioche knitting. The technique is easy to learn and gives a wonderful squishy feel to the hat. We’ve included a slouchy version with a pompom and a tighter version with a brim. The tighter version can also be made without the brim.
Both versions of the hat start with a short row section giving an interesting twist to the traditional beanie.
One skein of yarn will make one hat; and we’ve included both the pompom and the buttons, just in case you aren’t sure which version you like better! There is also a pictorial of how to make the Brioche stitches included with the pattern and on our blog
