This shawl is for advanced knitters. Some of my testers found it difficult to knit, so if this shawl is going to be your first brioche project, consider maybe finding a simpler one.

I am addicted to brioche. I love how brioche magically turns even the simplest and the most regular stitches into breath-taking art. Brioche Sister is one of two shawls using the same stitch pattern – the same, but not the same, as brioche is always different from other stitches.

This shawl is worked sideways. You start with 5 stitches and go through 5 parts. You decide how many repeats each part has. The yardage used is completly up to you. Though there is an ideal section at which to finish the shawl, you can finish with any section you like and it will work.

Suggested yarns: Colour Adventures Dia Sock, Fingering
Notions: Circular needles 3.0 mm (US 2.5)
Gauge: 18 sts & 24 rows in 10 cm x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches) in brioche stitch ribbing

The gauge is not crucial, but it will affect yardage and dimensions of your shawl.
