Brioche Spring Buds Cowl
The curving lines on these brioche stitches remind me of trees budding in the spring time - a lovely image to go with this stunning cowl. The size of the cowl allows you to double it around to warm the neck, or pull up as a snood. As the cowl is constructed by working flat and seaming the ends, it can easily be converted to a scarf. Given the yardage in the yarns used, you will have sufficient yarn to make a great long, cozy scarf, or perhaps 2 cowls.
Each of the yarns used come in fabulous colors to choose from. I especially love the hand dyed combos from The Fiber Seed Sprout. You could choose 2 of their colors.
The pattern includes both written instructions and a chart with some “aids” on the chart to assist in following it.
Although the gauge is noted, it is not a critical factor in the project. It is more important to obtain a fabric that drapes well, is nice and ‘squishy“ and that you love.
I hope you enjoy this cowl as much as I do.
