About the pattern:
This scarf gets its name from “Yarns Untangled,” the lovely Toronto LYS where I bought the gorgeous Mineville Wool Project yarn used in this design. This soft and squishy yarn called out to be made into something brioche because brioche and speckles are a match made in heaven. Take things up another notch by adding tassels.

Yarn & Yardage:
Mineville Wool Project #3103 DK: 100% merino; 100g (3.53 oz); 219 yards (200 m); colourway “Centreville VII” for my main colour and colourway #6 (deep turquoise) for my contrast colour. I used 90 g (200 yards/ 180 m) of each colourway. Extra yarn is needed if you make tassels.

Note that Mineville #3103 is closer to a true worsted weight yarn, so any worsted weight yarn would also work well.

Size / Final Measurements:
This pattern comes in one size. Finished measurements after steam blocking: length = 66” (182 cm); width = 7” (18 cm).

Difficulty:
This pattern is suitable for an intermediate knitter who is familiar with two-colour brioche knitting, or an adventurous advanced beginner who wants to learn. Instructions are written only, and links to helpful video tutorials are provided in the pattern.

About the Pattern:
This scarf is worked from the bottom-up in a chevron pattern that is created by regularly spaced brioche increases paired with regularly spaced left and right slanted brioche decreases. A few inches before the desired length of your scarf, the chevron is reversed by eliminating the increases. In this way, your scarf will also end with a point.
