Briola
BRIOLA is a large crescent shaped shawl which combines stripes of lace with two-color brioche knitting. It is a quite simple recipe: three contrasting colors , transitions from color to color and from lace to brioche and back. The right side features wide stripes and a straight brioche pattern. An edge pattern is added so it becomes more dramatic.
The shawl is made of 4 skeins of fingering weight yarn by Madelinetosh: yellow, gray and an off-white. Just feel free to combine three contrasting colors of fingering weight yarn from your stash - which could be speckled or, variegated too.
Repetitive increases are giving the shawl its crescent shape and there is a very neat knit-one-purl-one edge along both sides. I am sure, you will love it!
Special thanks to my fearless and fabulous test knitters! Just have a look at their gorgeous projects!
