Briology is a circular shawl that can easily be made larger or smaller depending on your preference Briology is a great way to perfect your in the round brioche knitting skills and it will literally fly off your needles as you knit your way through the squishy brioche sections using your favorite mini-skeins. SIZE:
Approximately 60 inches/152 cm in diameter after blocking.
GAUGE:
20 stitches and 28 rows equals 4 inches in stockinette stitch after blocking. Size and yarn requirements may vary based on your actual gauge.
NEEDLES:
US Size 6 (4.0mm) needles – Double Pointed Needles (DPNs), 16 inch(40 cm) and 32 inch (80 cm) circular needles were used in the sample.
US Size 8 (5 mm) 32 inch (80cm) circular needles were used for i-cord bind off.
NOTIONS:
Stitchmarker, Scissors, Tapestry Needle. A crochet hook – US Size G (4mm) for Emily Ocker’s circular cast- on.
YARN:
Color A – Iknit2purl2 Everyday Sock Yarn 75% Merino Wool/25% Nylon. Superwash Yarn, 75% Superwash Merino Wool/25% Nylon, 463 yards/424 metrs, 100 4 ply fingering weight yarn Colorway: Natural, 3 full size skeins
Color B - Iknit2purl2 Everyday Sock Yarn Mini Skeins 75% Merino Wool/25% Nylon. Superwash Yarn, 92 yds, 84m, 20g, 4 ply fingering weight yarn in the following colorways. (3 rounds of each color were used before switching to a new color.)
