The Brioni cowl
A pretty cabled cowl knitted in the round.
It starts with a short rib pattern and ends with a longer rib pattern done with a larger needle size, which extends the size. In between, you get to enjoy knitting a stylish short and a long cable pattern.

The pattern is fully written and has charts for the cables as well.
The cowl is 10” long, measures 20” around the top and 28” around the bottom edge.

Yarn
Bamboo+ yarn, 2 skeins used in a DK weight yarn, 272 yards/100 grams each. 60% bamboo/40% cotton.

Notions needed
US size 6 (4 mm) circular needle, 16” (42 cm) in length.
US size 8 (5 mm) circular needle, 16” (42 cm)
In length.
Stitch marker.
Tapestry needle or crochet hook for finishing.

Gauge
5 sts and 6 rows in 4” of 1 by 1 rib stitch.

Techniques applied
Knitting and purling in the round, cable knitting, ribbing, stretchy bind off, weaving in ends. Blocking is optional, the sample was not blocked.
