The British Lop Pig Tea Cosy was inspired by a rare breed long eared pig.

The Lop Pig tea cosy is standing in a meadow of buttercups. Her wrinkled snout peeps out from the tips of the ears and you can see the indents of her nostrils.

Pigs trotters divide into two at the ‘toe’ and I have tried to achieve this look on the pig tea cosy trotters.

The lop pig is what they call a ‘white breed’ but actually shes a peachy colour, I used Hayfield Bonus DK Flesh Tone for the pig, but she could also be made in black to look like the American Large Black pig breed.

The pig tea cosy fits a Price and Kensington large sized teapot that holds 10 cups. Perfect for when you want a lot of tea.

The pattern is knitted on two pins and is easy to follow and is mainly worked in stocking stitch.

The pattern will be available for digital download as soon as you have completed purchase, so you could start knitting her very soon!

This product is the knitting pattern only; to make your own British Lop Pig tea cosy.
