This pattern is available from nessofbrodgar.co.uk for £4.00.

Featuring stranded colourwork knitted in the round, with corrugated ribbing, this cowl is inspired by decoration on the Neolithic pottery and stone artefacts excavated at the Ness of Brodgar, Orkney. Matching hat and mitts patterns are available from the Skein Reaction ravelry store.
The cowl is designed by Skein Reaction and Anne Lea.

The design of this cowl, and the related mitts and Tam o Brodgar, came about as a charitable fundraising collaboration with Orkney Tweed and the Ness of Brodgar, in order to raise funds for ongoing excavations. The cowl pattern is available as a PDF download from the Ness of Brodgar excavation website, and also as a kit, either separately or combined with the hat and / or mitts.
