Brogna is a top down sweater with an uneven stripes below the armpits. The hem, cuffs and collar are folded back and sewn as a double layer for a good amount of stretch. It has a relaxed, cropped length and narrow sleeves for a light, comfortable fit.
Begin at the back body and knit straight down to the armpit. In the front body, pick up the stitches from each shoulder at the back body and knit the neckline while forming the shoulders with German Short Rows. Connect the front and back at the armpits, then begin round knitting and the COLOR works. For sleeves, pick up the stitches from the armholes and knit from top down. The sleeves are available in either a simple or a striped version. Recommended to be worn with 8-10.75” / 20-28 cm positive ease at bust. The sample shown is size 2 with 28 cm positive ease.
Note: The dropped sleeve’s armhole is designed to be narrower.

Needles
US 4 / 3.5 mm 40″ / 100 cm circular needles for the body. US 3 / 3.25 mm for sewing the hems, cuffs and neck. When knitting small rounds, use the magic loop method or DPN as needed.

26 stitches 32 rows to 4″ / 10 cm in stockinette stitch on US 4 / 3.5 mm needles, after blocking.

Brogna(ブローニャ)はトップダウンで編むセーターです.
後ろ身頃から始めて脇下まで往復編みし, 作り目からステッチを拾って
前身頃を編みます. German short-rowで肩の傾斜を作り, 襟ぐりを形成, 脇下まで編んだら前後身頃を合わせて丸編み, カラーワークを始めます. 袖はアームホールから目を拾い, 袖口に向かって編みます.
身頃と同じストライプワークの入った袖か, 袖口のみに入ったものかどちらかを選んだり, あるいは自由に配置することができます.
