Broken Garter and Rib Blanket Pattern – Multi Size

This simple Broken Garter and Rib Textured Blanket makes the perfect blanket for a treasured baby gift, or make one big enough to throw over a sofa!

The blanket features a garter stitch border to the edge with a simple knit and purl ribbed effect.

Row by row written instructions, using only knit and purl stitches, it is the ideal project for new knitters and a relaxing knit for those more experienced.

With instructions on how to scale this blanket to any size, you can knit this for babies, kids and adults.

When knitting the smallest size, the blanket will approximately measure 24” x 24”, based on using 4mm needles and 200grams of baby DK yarn.

Tension
Stocking Stitch: 22 sts = 10cms/4 inches. 28 rows = 10cms/ 4 inches.

You will need to know the 4 most common knitting techniques; how to cast on, knit, purl and cast off.
