Wash cloths make great gifts especially when adding a handmade soap along with a beautifully executed cloth.

Any 100% worsted weight cotton will work with this design.
Use your preferred bind-off - I suggest a stretch type bind-off such as Jenny’s stretchy bind-off.

This pattern is considered intermediate and a great way to practice lace knitting, k2tog, slip stitches, and passing slip stitches over the previous one or two stitches.
