The little purl bump is the star of this washcloth design. The power of the purl strategically placed within the rib columns forces the inherent elasticity of a conventional rib stitch to lay flat. While this elasticity may be “broken”, the regular order of linear furrows remains as a reminder of the stitch pattern’s original intent.
