NOTE: The correct numbers for the CO of the second half of sock A are 28(32,36) on page 3.

A cuff-down, two-at-a-time (TAAT) sock pattern, designed for magic loop. These techniques are simple by themselves, but the combination can be a bit tricky. This pattern assumes that you have some experience with knitting socks.

The broken rib creates a nice squishy texture in the sock that is suitable for one-colour and for multi-coloured yarns. In the pattern are instructions for how to knit the socks in one colour, and how to knit the heel, toe, and cuff in a contrasting colour.

There are three sizes, S(M,L) corresponding to traditional 6”(7”, 8”) circumferences.

You will need

  • Fingering weight yarn (I used Ancient Arts Socknado), divided into two equal skeins
  • US 2 circular needles, 30” length (or size to reach gauge)
  • Tapestry needle
  • Measuring tape/ruler
  • Extra US2 double pointed needle
  • Scissors
