The Bromeliad shawl was created for my testers who asked me to design a Fingering weight (4ply) sister pattern to the Tourmaline shawl. I know all designers appreciate their testers (how could they not?) but honestly my core group of repeat testers are so wonderful that I consider them friends. Friends who give of their time and skill, their opinions, and encouragement, to help me bring my patterns to other lovely knitters. So, I had to do it!

Bromeliad is designed for Fingering weight (4ply) yarns and is a quick (mostly) garter stitch (there are only 12 purl rows in the whole shawl) pattern with very easy lace. The pattern instructions are both written and charted, and include a tick sheet which shows stitch counts, row numbers, and pattern repeats for the whole shawl for your convenience.

This is a great project for using up pretty leftovers if you have them, or you can purchase one of the lovely yarn-only kits from KnitCircus Yarns, or make up your own combination from their extensive range of colours: https://knitcircus.com/
