Bromley Circle Skirt
A twirly skirt is for people of all ages! (I did write this one specifically with grown-ups in mind, however.) Comfortable and classic in bulky yarn, Bromley is perfect for pairing with boots and tights on cold days when you want to dress up just a bit.
The Bromley Circle Skirt is meant to sit at the high waist. If you lay it flat on the ground, it forms a circle—hence the name! Instructions include inserting an elastic waistband (minimal sewing required) and an optional seed-stitch border. This pattern is suitable for an advanced beginner knitter.
Sizing

Yards: 623 (641, 669, 706, 743) 781, 818, 836, 864
Meters: 569 (586, 612, 645, 679) 713, 747, 764, 790
Grams: 949 (977, 1020, 1077, 1133) 1190, 1247, 1275, 1318
Sample used 3 balls of Lion Brand Yarn Thick & Quick for size Medium.
US 11 / 8.00 mm (or the size you need to get gauge) circular needles, 16”, 32”, 60”, and/or 80” length.
I would suggest using interchangeable needles and cord extenders if you have them, or the absolute longest cables you can find. The increases happen pretty quickly and having a lot of thick stitches squished together is not pleasant.
8 stitch markers, including one in a different color for BOR
¾ inch / 1.9 cm wide elastic, a few inches longer than desired waist (if you cannot find that exact width, instructions are included to adjust the waistband)
Sewing needle and <1 yard appropriate thread (this will be hidden, so the color doesn’t matter)
Tapestry needle
Elastic thread if desired as additional waistband reinforcement
