The trunk does not have the repeated pattern. Each row is different from the others, and all the stitches were drawn by hand with painstaking patience. I added a zipper so I could slip off the inner cushion, also handmade. I spent hours thickening the moss with the punch needle technique.
I tell you all this because the main ingredient in this work is patience. The project is a lot of fun to do and mixes crochet, sewing and embroidery. For my part I was good and wrote down all the steps stitch by stitch, but you will also find the diagram drawn, if you are more familiar with visual schemes. You will also find many photos of the steps. Now it’s your turn to work!
