BROWN includes video tutorials that ensure you don’t stand still at any time while knitting.

Construction:

BROWN is worked flat top-down.
The instructions are detailed in the following sequence:

1.- Cast on stitches for the neck to be continued
working flat.
2.- Increase at the shoulders to the desired width for
the back for your chosen size and at the same time,
give shape to the V-neck at the front.
3.- Separate the fronts and back to be worked
separately to the desired length.
4.- Pick up stitches to work the sides.

And it’s ready! Time to find the perfect look for “como
agua para chocolate”.

Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4) (5, 6, 7) covers a range of chest measurements from 80 to 140cm.

Final item measurements at the chest in cm:
90 (100, 110, 120) (130, 140, 150)cm approx.

This vest is designed to be worn with approx. 6cm of positive ease at the chest.

The sample shown is a size 2 with 6cm of positive ease.

Gauge:

In stockinette stitch 10x10 cm are:

20 sts x 27 rows before blocking.
19 sts x 26 rows after blocking.

It is advisable to note down the measurements of your swatch before and after blocking to allow you to estimate the final measurements.

Yarn:

A summer or winter fibre in DK / Worsted weight (200m/100g approx.)

These quantities are approximate. The total amount required will also depend on the type of fibre used, your gauge, or any modifications you may make to the pattern.

Needles:

• 4mm circular needles with a cable of 60 or 80cm, or size needed to get gauge.
• An extra 4mm needle for the 3-needle bind-off of the sides, this could be a DPN.
• 3.5mm circular needles with a cable of 60 or 80cm to pick up stitches along the sides.
• 3.5mm circular needles with a cable of 40cm to finish the armholes.

Other Materials:

• 4 stitch markers.
• Various locking stitch markers.
• Waste yarn in a contrasting colour or a stitch holder for
leaving stitches on hold.
• A long cable with a connector to allow you to try on the
item as you go.
• Blocking tools.
• A tape measure, tapestry needle, and scissors

BROWN se teje en abierto de arriba a abajo.

Las indicaciones se detallan siguiendo la siguiente secuencia:

1.- Montamos los puntos para el cuello para seguir tejiendo en abierto.
2.- Aumentamos en los hombros hasta obtener el ancho de espalda deseado según talla, al mismo tiempo que vamos dando forma al escote delantero en V.
3.- Separamos para seguir tejiendo delanteros y espalda hasta el largo deseado.
4.- Recogemos puntos para tejer los costados.

¡Y listo! A buscarle un bonito look de “como agua para chocolate”.

Tallas: 1 (2, 3, 4) (5, 6, 7) cubre un rango de contorno de pecho de 80 a 140 cm.

Medidas finales de la prenda en el contorno de pecho:
90 (100, 110, 120) (130, 140, 150) cm aprox. Este chaleco está diseñado para ser llevado con unos 6 cm de holgura aprox en el contorno del pecho. El modelo de la fotografía es la talla 2 con 6 cm de holgura.

Hilado: Hilado de verano o invierno con grosor DK / Worsted (200m=100g aprox)

Estas cantidades son aproximadas. El metraje total de hilo empleado va a depender también del tipo de fibra, tensión o de las modificaciones que hagamos a la prenda.

Agujas:

• Circulares de 4 mm con cable de 60 u 80 cm, ó grosor adecuado para obtener la tensión de la muestra.
• Una aguja de 4 mm para el cierre a tres agujas de los laterales, puede ser de doble punta.
• Circulares de 3.5 mm con cable de 60 u 80 cm para recoger los puntos de los laterales.
• Circular de 3.5 mm con cable de 40 cm para rematar los huecos de las mangas.

Otros materiales:

• 4 marcadores.
• Varios marcadores de candado.
• Hilo de deshecho de color contraste o utensilio para dejar puntos en espera.
• Cable largo con conector para ir probándonos la prenda.
• Útiles para bloquear.
• Cinta métrica, aguja lanera y tijeras.

Tensión:

A liso o jersey

20 puntos y 27 pasadas son 10 por 10 cm antes del bloqueo.
19 puntos y 26 pasadas son 10 por 10 cm después del bloqueo.

Es aconsejable anotar las medidas de la muestra antes y después del bloqueo, de esa forma podremos estimar las medidas finales de la prenda.
