Brrr!
Fast, warm, colourful…the perfect winter combination.
When made with the brightest of the bright super bulky yarn, Brrr!, knit with 9mm needles, is a quick project sure to add a splash of sunshiny warmth on even the most bitter of winter days.
Version 1 features flaps which button to one side, version 2 has flaps which end in I-cord.
This oversized earflap toque is knit in the round upwards from a provisional cast-on, the live stitches are then picked up and knit downwards to work the ear flaps. The reverse stocking stitch version showcases thick/thin yarn rather nicely and has a rounder overall shape, more of a helmet. The stocking stitch version has a more tradition toque shaping.
Both pictured version are worked in Colinette’s Point 5.
Ridiculously quick.
Both versions took approx 10cm shy of 2 skeins but please, check you gauge and leave yourself enough yarn.
