This triangle front cowl has the simplicity of wear of a cowl, but the appearance of a triangular shawl.
The triangle front is worked flat across the triangle, then stitches are cast on and the piece is joined in the round.

This pattern uses 2 skeins of Dyelicious Mesa Yarn, or approximately 500 yards of a sport weight yarn. In addition, it uses 1 skein of Dyelicious byways, or approximately 40 yards of an contrasting color. This does not have to be sport weight, due to the nature of the braids, anything from DK down to fingering will do it! Use up sock leftovers or cute mini skeins!

Gauge is not critical for the piece, but will affect the overall size of the piece and yardage. The 2 gauges in the pattern are:
18 stitches x 32 rows = 4”/10cm in garter rib (body of cowl)
18.5 stitches x 30 rows = 4”/10cm in mistake rib (neck of cowl)

There is an additional section in the pattern on how to use rows of reverse stockinette instead of braids; this will roughly triple the amount of contrast color needed.
