Brumal Hat
The Brumal Hat was inspired by a hat that I bought a few years ago that is my absolute favorite. I wanted it in several colors so I could wear it with every coat and jacket I owned. I figured out the stitch pattern, and made a few adjustments to the style to make it even better and here it is! A pretty hat with a bit of lace, texture and color. The hat can be made in two colors as shown, or knit each stitch section in a different color. Top it with a pompom made from the same yarn, or use a faux fur pompom. Knits up quickly, makes a great gift and is a perfect take-along project.
Skill level:
advanced beginner/intermediate - requires basic knowledge of knitting, knitting in the round.
Materials needed for the hat:
160 yards each of two colors of sportweight yarn. (yarn used for hats shown is “Chickadee” by Quince & Co. Blue hat used four different colors).

Faux fur pompom (optional)
