Brunswick
Originally designed for Issue 138 of Knit Now magazine, this gorgeously textured piece was inspired by the floaty, feminine fabrics and textures that have defined the boho style for decades. I specifically wanted to include eyelets and elongated stitches as a nod to the lace and fringing that have become almost synonymous with Bohemian and hippie fashions. The bobbles and purl rows that nestle between these features complement them perfectly and add a real warm and cosy touch.
This is a beginner-friendly pattern, with no shaping required. The poncho is knitted flat, before being folded in half and seamed along part of one edge, using mattress stitch, to create the neck hole.
