1940s Bow Scarf in 4-ply
’A neat, fitted scarf for under jackets and coats’

Knit in double moss stitch (K1, P1 two rows then P1, K1 two rows). Designed with a 4-ply wool in mind. Picutres show the scarf in a fine 4-ply in Brunswick green and a slightly heavier weight 4-ply in camel/biscuit.

MATERIALS
1 100g ball of 4-ply merino wool
1 pair of 3.25mm needles and one additional 3mm or 3.25mm needle
A tapestry needle
A stitch holder (optional)

MEASUREMENTS
16.5 inches around neck, 30 inches total length and 5 inches wide

TENSION
28 sts and 36 rows over 4 inches (10 cm) in pattern using 3.25mm needles
