Bryant Park Vest
Most people know about Central Park. But there’s also Bryant Park, the area behind the famous New York Public Library on 42nd Street. It’s a peaceful oasis in mid-town Manhattan - perfect for a stroll or sitting on a bench and enjoying the fall colors.
This cozy vest is perfect for fall through winter. It is edged in a sturdy 1x1 rib, and fastened with one pretty button. A big lush braided cable follows the button band, and also trims the attached pockets.
The vest is knitted bottom up in one piece, including the button band, then separated at the armholes to knit the back and fronts separately. It has moderate ease, and gentle waist shaping is created by a band of ribbing at the waist.
It’s virtually seamless, and the visual effect of the vertical cables will be slimming to many figures.
It is a surprisingly quick knit in bulky weight yarn.
