This project is shown on page 144 of Interweave Knits, Fall 2007. The pattern is NOT in the magazine, however. Readers are instructed to find instructions on the website.
Pattern Information
Quoted from the Interweave Knits website
“A sweater vest is usually a staple of a man’s wardrobe, but this close fitting sweater vest has been shaped to fit the curves of a woman and is finished off with a dainty I-Cord belt.”
Sizing Information
Pattern is offered in 6 sizes, 33” (35”, 37”, 40 1/2”, 43 1/2”, 47 1/2”) bust measurement and is meant to be knit with 1” of negative ease.
Construction
The garment is knit flat and then seamed. After blocking and seaming, stitches are picked up around the neck and arm holes to knit the edging.
Other Notions
A size D/3 (3.25 mm) crochet hook is used to make the belt loops using both chain stitches and slip stitches.
