I wanted a pattern for bubbly little baby bloomers, so I wrote this.

It’s designed so that it will fit your baby a good long while; I hate it when I knit an adorable soaker and then fat thighs mean it lasts just a couple of weeks! It’s definitely going to be on the hilariously adorable side of things on a newborn, though.

Since the main part of the soaker is intended to fit loosely, there aren’t any short rows. The biggest barrier to making this if you’re a beginner is just going to be boredom. Nearly all of it is made on 80 to 120 stitches, including lots of stockinette. Some of that can be alleviated by making your ribbing sections shorter, though.
