Bubble Cardi
The Bubble Cardigan is a delightful, lightweight, and soft cardigan knitted top-down in Fat Mohair. The cardigan features a V-neckline and an exciting bubble pattern on the back and front.
The cardigan is worked top-down, starting with the back, followed by each front panel individually. The back begins with short rows to shape the shoulders, then is knitted straight down with increases for the armholes.
Next, the front pieces are knitted one at a time, with short rows similar to the back, followed by straight knitting with increases for the armholes.
The front pieces and back are then joined on a single needle, and the body is worked back and forth until finished with a ribbed hem.
Stitches are picked up for the sleeves, and short rows are used to shape the sleeve cap. The sleeves are then knitted in the round with decreases along the underside and finished with a ribbed cuff.
Finally, a garter stitch front edge with buttonholes is knitted.
A lovely bubble pattern is worked on the front and back following a chart. The bubbles are easily created with cast-on and bind-off techniques.
