My Broken Garter stitch baby blanket is striped, giving vertical and horizontal interest. This is a quick knit, as the blanket is worked on larger-than-ball band needles. Optional edges include single crochet or a continuous Garter stitch.

The large stripe color requires 575 yds/526 m or 3 skeins of featured yarn. The smaller stripe colors each take 160 yds/146 m without the edging. The optional Garter stitch edging requires an additional 80 yds/ 73 m.
