The Bubblicious Socks were inspired by LunaPurl Yarns’ beautiful Planet Bubblegum colorway. The bubble stitch gives these socks a lot of texture and personality! It also makes each sock fairly fly off your needles. It’s hard to stop after just one stripe!

Purchase of this pattern includes a PDF with all the instructions you need to create these socks, including directions for two cuff styles (double rolled and ribbed), an afterthought heel, and two different options for the toe.

Yarn
50-100 grams (230-460 yards) of fingering weight self-striping yarn.
20 grams (90 yards) of fingering weight for heels and toes (optional).
LunaPurl Yarns self-striping was used by most of the test knitters, but this pattern would also work well with any self-striping yarn that has stripes at least 7 rows wide. The colorway used in my sample is Luna Purl Yarns’ Planet Bubblegum.

Adult Small (7”) - 56 stitches
Adult Medium (8”) - 64 stitches
Adult Large (9”) - 72 stitches
Adult Extra Large (10”) - 80 stitches

Needles
US 1.5 (2.5mm) 32” circular (or size needed to get gauge)

Gauge
Bubble Stitch (Blocked): 36 stitches and 56 rounds = 4” (10 cm)
Stockinette Stitch (Blocked): 36 stitches and 36 rounds = 4” (10cm)
