Buck Deer Square
Materials Needed:
K/6.5MM hook
Worsted (#4) Weight yarn - 2 colors - 50 yards
Yarn needle
Scissors
This pattern creates a 7.5” square. It is written in US terms. You will need to know how to change colors in the middle of a row multiple times. I use bobbins or multiple yarn balls for my color changes to avoid the discoloration of carrying the unworked yarn under stitches across the row. I use 4 balls of orange (C1) and 3 balls of green (C2).
Abbreviations & Terms - US terminology:
Ch - chain
Sc - single crochet
Bb - back bump
C1 - color one - main background color - orange
C2 - color two - contrasting image color - green
R - row
St - stitch
FO - finish off
Gauge:
7 sc x 8 rows = 2x2”
Thankfully with blankets, gauge doesn’t matter too much, so just have fun with it!
