Depending on the size,1 to 2 balls of 1.75 oz / 50 gr cotton yarn is required. Stitches should be fairly tight but will work quite well with a looser stitch, as long as the pattern size is adjusted. Simple but versatile, a go - to hat you will reach for time and again.

Please note that different countries may have different definitions for stitches and yarn weights. For Britain, use Aran Weight yarn and a size 8 crochet hook. Australia use 10 ply. US will use an equivalent G/6 hook.
