Buckwheat Bridge Bootcuffs
Buckwheat Bridge Bootcuffs are combination leg warmers and boot toppers that spruce up any pair of boots, but most specifically rubber rain boots (that are often too spacious in the leg, and a bit plain). As a plus, they add an extra layer to keep out the rain and chilly winds.
The pattern is made to be customized to fit your specific boots. Measurements are provided for average boot sizes.
The lace boot cover is knit first; back and forth, to fit around the top of your boot. Then stitches are picked up in the round to knit the leg portion. Shaping provides a less bulky fit for easy wear even with pants.
Knit for medium height rain boots, the pattern takes a little bit less than one skein of Buckwheat Bridge Angoras 100% Cormo worsted.
For knee height rain boots make sure to have at least one and a half skeins if you want a full leg warmer.
Gauge:
One repeat of the lace pattern measures approx. 1 1/4 inches
