Buddleia Blanket and Cushion Cover
Nice easy blanket and cushion cover crochet pattern, which can be worked plain, or with the stripes shown. Full instructions given.
I loved making this blanket, it reminded me of summer and my Buddleia “butterfly” bush!
The format is UK crochet, not US, (please refer to a UK stitch guide, and not YouTube, if unsure of stitches!)
You will need approx 1000g Aran/Worsted yarn (800g for the blanket and 200g for the cushion cover) and a 9mm crochet hook for the blanket, 5mm for the cushion cover.
Finished measurements:
Blanket – 115cm/45” x 152cm/60” approx.
Cushion cover 15” x 15” (for 16” cushion insert)
NOTE:
I have, in January 2020, added an additional pattern for the instructions for the blue blanket, which I have called The Blue Birthday Blanket as I made it for my son’s birthday, with colours he chose.
The price remains the same.
Suitable yarns:
Many aran/worsted yarns are suitable for this pattern. I used Aldi So Crafty 75% acrylic, 25% wool. Yardage per 100g – 200m.
suitable substitutes:
James Brett Aran with wool
Bernat Satin Worsted
Paintbox Yarns simply Aran
Stylecraft Special Aran
James C Brett Super Soft Baby Aran
King Cole Comfort Aran
