This is a GAUGE-FREE pattern worked in garter stitch. NO SWATCH needed. Grab some yarn and needles, Cast On 5 stitches and get started. The Back and 2 Fronts are knit separately. Turn everything 90 degrees and pick up & knit along the sides of the Back and one Front. Knit the Side Panel to the width you need for your size, separate for the sleeve and knit down to your wrist. Half your sweater is done. Repeat on the other side, fold the cardigan in half, Cast Off the side seams and sew the sleeve seam and ta, da you have a cardigan knit to your unique size and we didn’t mention the G word (gauge), not once.
I’ve included Hacker Pages with lots of options. You can make this cardigan fitted, A-Line shaped OR in the Boxy style. Make it with extra hip room, vents or as a PULLOVER. I’m sure you can have fun with this.
