Building Blocks
I love colorwork, but seldom find the strength to bite into something more complicated than stripes due to lack of time or sheer laziness. So this time, I looked all over my considerable pile of knitting related literature to find an easy and unusual way to combine those two colors into a fun. The idea of blocks made of slipped stitches came from this review and the intarsia button bands came from the same laziness that prevents me from other colorwork.
So I designed a top down, one piece cardigan, with contrasting button bands made in intarsia to satisfy both my taste for colorful garments and easy, fast rewarding projects with minimal finishing. And now you, too, can grab those lazy knitting needles and make a complicated looking cardigan in a jiffy!
