Building Blocks Baby Blanket
Someone asked me the other day what my favourite thing to knit was, and without hesitation I answered “baby blankets”. There’s something about the idea that I’m helping to welcome a new life into the world that gets me every time. Plus they’re just a big rectangle so you can do heaps of fun stitches with them - like mosaic knitting!
I was introduced to mosaic knitting a few years ago and I’ve never looked back. It’s my favourite type of colour work because it’s not stranded - you only have one working yarn at a time. Plus it looks way more complicated than it actually is, and who doesn’t love that?
NOTE: This pattern is only for the regular blanket. It also has a personalisable name chart that you can buy to make it extra special, available for purchase here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/600229380/personalised-knitt...
Only charted instructions are provided, and detailed instructions for mosaic knitting are included. Units are given in both Australian and US notations.
