This hat has 1/1 and 2/2 cable patterns both left and right. Between the cables you work seed stitches, which give the hat some extra texture.

You need one ball of Lion’s Pride Woolspun yarn (or similar bulky yarn), a circular needle (US10-/6-6.5 mm), 5 double pointed needles the of the same size, a cable needle, a tapestry needle and four stitch marks.

The instructions are for one size for adults or young adults. The bigger needles make a little bit bigger hat. The grey hat in the pictures was knitted with US10/6 mm needles, the green one with US 10.5/6.5 mm.
