This mitten design features various traditional Norwegian features knit in a non-traditional method. The motivation for the design was to illustrate an alternate technique for knitting the thumb.

There are charts for two sizes of mittens -- woman’s small and large (or man’s medium). Two skeins of the main color and one skein of the contrast color will make two pairs of mittens.

The only illustrated techniques included with pattern are directional lifted increases.
