I didn’t measure for gauge, but the stretchiness of the K2 P2 rib means that it can accommodate a variety of sizes. This hat fits a 23” head. The size can easily be modified by subtracting multiples of 4 from the cast-on. When knit in wool, it is suitable for donating to Mittens for Akkol and Afghans for Afghans. This pattern can be used with different worsted-weight and sport-weight yarns, and goes with my Bulky Mitts pattern.
